Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Take ie easy D! You'll soon build up your times & then teenage boy's pals won't be laughing so much I bet!!

I had a great run today but think I may be aching tomorrow. First proper run since kids went back so decided to go for some hill work. Felt really strong all the way round & just took my time. Unfortunately got hung up at the viewpoint by an old couple who decided the fat runner OBVIOUSLY needed to stop & chat.

*must learn to not stop & stroke menacing looking mutt. Run run run*

nice run this morning with Tappers and Croc. sloooooow pace for them. moderate pace for me. 7 and a bit miles.

then an hour's pedaling round the park. I pedalled constantly, the boys needed to stop for rests.

Oh, OK, the boys stopped to wait for me.

we got roasted by the sun and soaked by the rain. several times for both!

LOL Old Mum.

ran with a buddy for the first time today - found somebody my size and who is used to running similar distances, although a little faster than i am used to. she slowed down a little, i sped up a little, and knocked 2 minutes off my usual 7k time :-)

we're planning to run 10k together on thursday

That's good to hear Riga, well done :-)

I've forced myself to rest today so I've been chomping at the bit but I'm going early doors in morning for a good few miles...

yes its strange how you start to need your running 'fix' after a day or two off, isn't it?!

honestly, now don't kick me out of fetch for saying this, but i USED to think runners were bonkers and they only ran because they thought they should, and they couldn't possibly, possibly ACTUALLY ENJOY it....could they...? ;-)

LOL Riga, looks like the bug has bitten... :-).

"We had a thread on here not long ago called you know when you are addicted to running when..."

I say when you arrange your life around your running rather than running around your life... :-)
