Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Please don't shoot me LOL but.........

*****70% for me should be 127, at the moment i can only do for brief periods or at the start of a run*******

Is the reason people experience this primarily just from lack of aerobic capacity?? Personally I think not :(

This is very interesting reading :) I'm gradually working my way through the thread!

I've done very little in the way of distance stuff recently and it certainly shows, I don't feel very fit or fast at the moment. As proved at Cabbage Patch 10 on Sunday!

My max HR is the same as 'Joe' so that saves doing any complicated maths ;) I've been doing my easy runs at <145bpm for about a month and it's getting easier and a little quicker now, in fact I quite enjoy bimbling along at that pace and find it very comfortable, probably because I have lazy tendencies :) The sub LT at <160 feels rather more like hard work and the thought of running a marathon at 175 is pretty daunting! I have till mid Aprill for my next marathon so will give this a go :)

Hello el Bee! Nice to see you in here! :)

Hi Tiger. If you use < without putting a space after it the rest of the message gets chopped.
