Seems to be getting worse. This morning Fetch says my HR was 130, and strava/garmin says 134. Anyway, post adjustment, I sneaked in at 1099 beats per mile! Woohoo! Really enjoyable recovery run at 8.12/mile for an average 68% of max. Looking forward to a nice long one tomorrow as well.
Good luck with the mara Tizer. I'd have no idea what to do pace wise, but I see you're down for Stirling 10k. That should give you an idea?

davie, I find the HR data is all over the place, sometimes lower sometimes higher....
A similar recovery for me as well, under 68% max (after adjustment for mile 1 spike and fetch upload inaccuracy) but my pace was 9:21. The effort was probably less than 68% as I assume mile 1 HR is in line with the rest of the run when I get these spikes, whereas I know when I dont get the spikes mile 1 averages less than the rest of the miles.
The pace frustrates me as I still have huge gaps between the effort levels, however I did observe this morning that I was running dead easy, I wasnt even near to being out of breath in fact felt like I was walking and it felt like proper recovery.
Also looking forward to 18 tomorrow and hoping that I get an LR that somes out closer to my usual 75% max pace and not the higher LR pace I always seem to get.

Lovely long run today. Picked a hilly route to get out of the wind on the coast which meant a long 3.25 mile, 500ft climb near the start of the run, but after that I was out of the wind and got into a nice rhythm until the last few miles into a strong headwind. Finished with 21.5 miles at 7.48/mile. HR came in (after adjustment!) at 73.6%. It's great how things come along as soon as you can get consistency into training.

davie, thats awesome, well done
I on the other hand had a poor day. My time was 15s a mile slower than my normal LR which in turn is 20+s per mile slower than shorter 75% max runs. Also found the last few miles quite tough. Not sure why, possibly tired from 4 weeks of 60+ miles with this week being the biggest mileage week in 12 months

Fetch training log is picking up my HR incorrectly Spen. I've no idea why, it's only started happening recently. The average HR on my garmin, and on strava is coming in roughly 2 to 4 bpm higher than fetch reports.

I've stopped uploading my data to fetch via the ant stick and instead just enter it manually.
I ran 75:05 yesterday at Moray Half, to pick up the V40 prize and 3rd in the Scottish Masters Champs (v35+). Was cruising the first 8 miles, then picked up a stitch across the chest, chest tightened and breathing suddenly became hard then legs started to go at 10 miles and the last 5K was a nightmare clocking 2 6+ mm. Bit gutted to miss the champ start qualifying time, but pleased with the prize haul
More work to do, but things are moving in the right direction for me, so I can't be too disappointed. Legs hurt today, first half in 4 years and it is showing itself today.

Fantastic stuff Boab, can't believe you placed so well if you had trouble breathing. Definitely going in right direction and even more great wins to to come from you, I'm sure. Many congrats. :-)G

Super running Boab. You could maybe manage another half in before the champs entries open, or maybe they'll look over the 5 seconds? I think Baz P got in with 1.15 and change before.
Very easy 10k for me this morning. So easy that I might do a second short run this evening. And I've entered the River Ayr Challenge in 2 weeks. I'm just going to use it as a (very) long run rather than trying to race it. No taper, but it's a Saturday so I'll replace my usual Friday sub LT with an shorter easy run.

After a rubbish run on Sunday - and 2 rubbish days at work - I had a better sub LT tonight. I probably pushed the HR a wee bit above 80%(no doubt work frustrations), average shows 81% max and that doesnt allow for my HRM behaving today and thus the lower HR in mile 1 means my settled HR was probably 82% max. However, pace was 7:19mm which equals my best sub LT run so far so I will take that and hope it is repeated again and again and again.
