Hipps, my 310 happily uploads to Fetch using the Garmin import thing on the do stuff quickly menu. The note saying it doesn't work is a red herring.
I don't have TC installed at all. Ant stick downloads the runs and uploads to Connect (and creates the FIT and TCX files in the background).
However I still use SportTracks as my primary log (which also uploads) and log on here just for Fetchpointing.

My 310 does connect, but it gives the impression for a good long while that it's all going to go to shit.
Connects, "transferring data" comes up, no progress bar but percentages. Gets to 100%, then "processing data". Then my browser stops, regardless of whether I'm using Firefox or Explorer. At that stage I usually go off and get a drink or go to the bog or something. A few minutes later an "Unresponsive Script" warning used to come up to which I'd have to click "Keep Running" (of course!)- although now I've ticked the box which says "Don't ask me again". I can then go off and get my shower.
When I get back I have another "Unresponsive Script" warning and I do as above. Usually at this point my e-mail client is working, so I can read my e-mail. Once I've done that, usually, I can go back to Fetch and get the list of run that I want to upload.
You can tell when the thing's about to do something, because the whole Internet browser window shifts right about half an inch, then back again.
It's a faff, admittedly, but still less of a faff than uploading to TC, downloading a GPX file, saving it, opening Fetch, uploading the GPX file...

I've had that with my 305 DeeGee - the browser choice is key. The only time I use IE is to upload the Garmin, as the plug-in is not (or certainly was not) compatible with Chrome

Hi, My Garmin Forerunner 305 never has uploaded to fetch. For the life in me i have never got it to work...why? I have had advice from all sorts of folk (even Garmin themselves) - done has ever worked! One of my friends 305 works great yet another one of my friends also has problems like me. I have heard this in many threads before. I just add the training manually, its kind of rewarding i think to actually type in your achievemnts and then sit back and think " I ran that...." keep on runn'in......
