Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Mine didn’t for a couple of hours ElD, but have now just come through…the last entry appears to have been tripled up in the process though…

+1. I've noticed that the new import system is much slower than the old fetcheveryone.com/blog/3/2021/11/436725 . Activities would ping to Fetch instantaneously, but now they're taking a minute or more.

But they seem to have stopped completely this evening, for me. Perhaps there's a glitch in the Garminverse.

Under the old system, Garmin would fire the data at us straight away. Under the new system, we just get a notification that data is available. These notifications go into a queue, and Fetch processes them using a bit of code that runs once a minute. This evening aside, I've not seen any instances where the import hasn't happened within 1-2 minutes of that notification arriving.

It looks like I missed the fun though, because when I got home (from bonfire night), there were about 40 items in the queue, but within 5 minutes these had all been processed.

For those of you who aren't getting anything come across at all, it may be worth re-establishing your connection. Here's some info on how to do that:

That explains it. Previously my phone would ping when the upload to Garmin Connect had happened and the activity would be on Fetch straight away. I can see how it might take a minute or two now.

My stuff from earlier came through OK.

So here's odd - it seems if a run comes to Garmin from a Garmin device it comes thence to Fetch like always, but if it comes to Garmin from RunGap (from a NappleWatch originally) it doesn't.

It *did*, up till a week or so ago...

They've told me recently that they don't pass on data you store on Garmin from third parties, because of their privacy policy etc.

Interesting - it’s never worked with Zwift but it used to work with RunGap.

I’ll deal manually if it’s out of your control, o Fetch
