Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have 910 which has some issue but generally great since I got it very cheap. It is a Tri watch which is what I do in the summer but I also have done a few ultras and really it does the trick.

I know Kate Jayden has 920 and she does loads of marathons/ultras as does Flanker.

So I guess it's worth it but you have to do an Ironman next year ;-)

So my heart rate strap for my garmin 620 won't give running dynamics on the 920? Yes maybe I will do an iron man next year 😀

If you have the heart rate strap with a little white running figure on it with your 620, and it gives running dynamics on the 620, it will give running dynamics on the 920xt too.

You should be set, then.
Word on the street is that there's a planned firmware release for the Fenix 3 on the 5th June which is supposed to improve GPS accuracy.

Fingers still crossed. Meant to post this earlier; if you want to see the data fields on the F3 while it's charging, settings>system>usb mode>garmin instead of mass storage will do the trick.

I managed to work it yesterday. Amazing what you can do with Google once you realise what you said doesn't make much sense :-) Thanks anyway.

Garmin 910XT Users..... Any issues getting it to upload?
I've tried all the usual stuff, manually pairing, removing the ANT stick and replacing, plugging it in directly to the laptop, different laptop.... all the trouble shoots. And still nada. It keeps doing the 'transferring data' thing but all I get is an error message on Sync on garmin express. What have I missed before I bin it??!

920XT users, I'm considering a 920XT, and got a Navigation question that even dcrainmaker didn't answer !

On the 910XT, if you enable the Map screen, then when on that screen if you press Enter, it shows your current position coords - the default for these is Lat/Long but you can change in settings to OS Grid Ref. Fantastic, useful for checking where you are if you have an OS map with you.

Does this exact functionality exist the same on the 920XT ?

What I don't want is the way the FR610 worked, which was to see your location, you had to save a waypoint. But if you then moved, it wouldn't show new location without coming out that option then going back in to save another waypoint.

On the 910XT if you stay on the Map screen then the coords change as you move, which is what you want.

Note I'm not asking if the co-ords can be shown as a data field on one of the data screens, I know that can't be done, showing on the Map screen would be fine.
