Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It's a bit hard to tell, as it doesn't show the time when switched off ;-)

But it remembers it when I turn it back on, so probably not.

Sorry! :-)

Very deep, you should send it in to the Reader's Digest
Mine sometimes does, sometimes doesn't, which is annoying because it's much slower to lock the satellites when it forgets, because the ones it can see aren't the ones it's expecting to see.

I tried my HR strap on my back and it gave stupidly low readings. I have a new underwired sports bra which is tricky with the strap at the front, but obviously doesnt work any better at the back. Back to ordinary sports bras then

flanker: yeah I might just have to do that. annoying.

meglet: I have no experience in this area :) but I can see how an underwire might interfere with the HR strap sending signals

generally I tuck the HR strap under the bra band. the wire doesn't really accommodate that and I'm too short of body to have it beneath, it would be virtually off my ribcage LOL!

seriously though, for any ladies reading, I do find that having it under the band I get a decent signal, hardly ever have a problem. Think the underwire will have to be reserved for non-HR activities.

maybe I need to start wearing a sports bra?!

If I eat many more crumpets today I may have no choice anyway!

Getting an error message from windows XP - "USB Device Not Recognised". Tried reboot and reset of 305 but to no avail - anyone come across this before - or is this the death knell of my 3 yr old 305? :-(

do you have another USB port that you can try? Or is there any error messages showing against the port in the Device Manager?

May not be a Garmin issue.
