Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I guess this line was quoted by another song in the 1980s, which was then covered by someone else and fans of the 1980s versions don't always realise it came from an earlier song.

Lyrics - Yes, but from the comment above, not the original song. I have the cover on 7".

Next: some running, presently.

Love the '80s song, as it goes; when I was still gigging, it was often in the set (I adapted the lyrics for my age though, something like "I was 50 years old when I nicked this song, I'm 52 now but I won't be for long", and a few tweaks in the other verses too)

I remember learning to play it when I was 18/19 and looking forward to being actually 22.

Afternoon!

Yes, @Badger , I should write a version that starts "I was 71 years when I wrote this song".

Went to watch the Salford 10k this morning, and good to meet up with @Hilly and @barnsleyrunner who some will know! About 40 minutes running in total without a niggle! Then on to watch Lancashire try to play cricket...and then it rained.

Lyrics: feels familiar, but more recent.

What: quick dog jog early doors.
Why: streak maintenance before heading down for parent duties.

Last hard: the hills on last night's social! 1200ft in 10km. No prisoners!
Last rest: April 2019.
