Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Nice flower outing yesterday @PeterFay and @ElspethF .

What: 4 miles before breakfast
Why: beat the heat and try 2 days in a row.
Last rest: yesterday

Ongoing hard: looking at a 6hr event (also 12,24,48 on offer), and a 94k in the autumn. Hmmm.

Lyrics, vaguely!
Hazel those options sound good!
Wabo, hoped you'd feel a bit better
Feeling responsible as took 5 others out on trail run and M who is a speedy runner but quite thin and frail slipped and scraped knees and hands and a horrible flap laceration over one of her knuckles. Ended up having to have it tidied up in a and e. Thing is was before we got to any rough trail but I still feel bad!
Off to see another friend get married this afternoon, it's a small affair but she's welcoming folk seeing them outside town hall. Alas weather windy and 'ool again for them.

Afternoon!

Hope that your friend isn't too badly hurt, @ElspethF, and you are recovering, @Wabo!

Went to parkrun - one that I have met @PeterFay and @ElspethF - with the intention of just dipping under 30 minutes, given the heat. In the end ran a little quicker, finishing in 28:24. Whilst I was running I largely felt that I was running within myself, but afterwards the heat really got to me and I had to sit down for a good while before run/walking the mile back to my car. 28 degrees! Not used to running in the heat, certainly, and not sure what today's run tells me, apart from I struggled on even the slightest rise, not least the steps, twice.

I think faster than I was couple of years ago Ale. Well done!
It's pretty cool here in thick mist which has replaced the mornings wind.
Hoping M isnt feeling too bad, everyone met back here for lunch afterwards and she seemed relieved to be patched up for now.
Wedding party looked chilly in Tankerness gardens but in good fettle!
