So after finding that my unpopular opinion that Wrestling is great wasn't actually that unpopular I thought we should probably have a specific thread to talk about it.

Anyone watch wrestling now on the telly, on the internet or live? Does anyone have any fond memories of watching World Of Sport on a Saturday afternoon when they were younger, or of Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper on the WWE in the 80s? Stone Cold and the Rock?

Are you aware of the British Wrestling Boom that's going on at the moment? Are there shows near you that you go along to and get involved with? Let us know what you're up to and what you enjoy about wrestling.

I would highly recommend Nacho Libre. I love that movie.

I haven’t seen wrestling since the World of Sport days (early-80s?). Mick McManus, Shirley Crabtree aka Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks, Kendo Nagasaki, Mighty John Quinn and others I’m struggling to recall. Me and my granny used to watch it on a Saturday afternoon. She loved Big Daddy and was often up out of her chair shouting “easy, Easy, EASY!” Happy memories. :)

At the time, as a kid, I thought Big Daddy was great. In hindsight I realise that he pretty much killed the UK wrestling scene and it took 20 years to recover.
