Long short, with it being an EC and all, but is there any EOD fozzy?

"long shot" even. Not a new class of feel race. I'll blame autocorrect.

It's not my call Flanker. It's RO's call. We've not sold out. But. I'm not sure what the FRA rules are with it being a EC and it would also depend if SIentries can handle EOD. We've had someone else ask, so if I hear anything I'll let you know. |

Settle Hills tomorrow an option ? It's not sold out and we sent out a message this morning stating that there would be EOD. Fozzy: Under normal circumstances I don't believe SI Entries can handle EOD, however if you've got them doing the timing as well that could be a different matter. I do the SI Entries admin for SH and we had to draw a very firm line under the entry list for PyG due to it being an Intercounties and Snowden selector etc. |

It's not difficult to handle small numbers of EOD in SITiming. We register ~200 for some orienteering events in that software. It's whether they have the capacity. They are doing the timing. I also don't know what's in the rules because it's an EC race. And in the end it's the ROs decision. I believe he is out marking the course currently. |

Just to be absolutely clear, if the race has capacity it doesn't matter whether you use SIE or not you can have EOD at the RO's discretion - that's exactly what's happening tomorrow at Settle Hills.

Even for an English Champs? This is what I'm not sure on as I don't know what extra rules there are (if it were an orienteering champs race, the answer would be a firm no after entries close except for exceptional circumstances). And I'm not the RO anyway. I don't want to tell anyone that they will be able to run if Sportident can't handle the extra admin, or if there are reasons why not that I'm not aware of. Hence my caginess. I've asked the RO if the EC/sportident issues are a problem or not. He's probably still out on the hill. |
