Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have a trifle bowl. It's enormous. I put baubles and battery operated lights in it and use it as a Christmas table decoration.

it's from Jamie Oliver Meal in 30 minutes book, can't find link online. If you ever do it, he does it in one layer in a large flat dish where I do mine in previously mentioned high sided trifle bowl and do several layers and poss more alcohol :-)

as you were.....

I had a trifle bowl, but have either got rid of it or secreted it somewhere and forgotten where. Used to make trifle fairly frequently when I still had children at home.

Isn't a trifle bowl just a big bowl? Preferably glass, could also be called a fruit bowl..........

It has vertical sides, AL, which many bowls don't. Also looks pretty so you can put it on the table and serve directly from it.

Mine served as a fruit bowl for a while, but I have another fruit bowl too, also a thing with a hook for suspending bananas from, so it was redundant really.

How come 2 half empty carrier bags of papers for shredding became 4 overflowing carrier bags of shredded paper?!

It must be rather like whisking up egg white. Takes up so much more space when it's full of air.

Same with popcorn.

".... This month, each of you must get rid of one thing on the first day. On the second, two things. Three items on the third. So forth, and so on. Anything can go! Clothes, furniture, electronics, tools, decorations, etc. Donate, sell, or trash. Whatever you do, each material possession must be out of your house—and out of your life—by midnight each day."
