Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Thanks folks. What about old towels and bedding? I remember a leaflet from the cat and dog home but can't remember what they said they could and couldn't use?

I think the wee spare room might be about to be turned into my selling station :-)

Streetlife was recommended to me by my declutterer, but my local one isn't very active (got rid of a bike on there though, bit less hassle than Freecycle as I only got 1 message rather than millions, I was giving it away)
I don't bother with EBay for anything under about £50, too much faffing.

At least with Freecycle people come to the house to fetch the things.

Another vote here for Streetlife - I have not sold anything on it myself but have seen lots of stuff advertised for sale or free and it's usually then followed with a post of 'sorry - now gone' or similar in no time at all, but I guess it does depend on how active it is in that particular area.

It is much more than a selling page. It is very good if you need a tradesperson for example - people will recommend plumbers, builders, window cleaners etc which is excellent.

".... This month, each of you must get rid of one thing on the first day. On the second, two things. Three items on the third. So forth, and so on. Anything can go! Clothes, furniture, electronics, tools, decorations, etc. Donate, sell, or trash. Whatever you do, each material possession must be out of your house—and out of your life—by midnight each day."
