Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I enjoy getting our van ready too, AC. Have a great time at Stirling. It's on my list of places to visit - rather than just seeing the castle from a distance as we drive by.

Need to clean down and prep the caravan before our next trip - it's all part of the fun and build up isn't it?

Having recently returned from a couple of weeks away in the van, including a trip to Northern Ireland on the ferry, we are more than likely going to head over to France in July.

We tend to go for the quieter sites (up to about 5 pitches) and I was wondering if there are any tips on searching out similar sites in France, other than Googling it.

Hi all. A long time after I first posted, we are due to collect our van on Saturday. I'm quite looking forward to getting past all the admin of insurance etc and actually driving the thing.

Really great trip to Stirling last weekend. Only a couple of hours down the road so it was perfect for a first trip of the year.

Witches Craig is a really nice campsite. Clean, loads of flowers and decorated borders and great toilet/shower facilities. Quite a few families, but the kids were really well behaved and quiet. Very handy for Wallace Monument, Stirling Castle and Stirling Uni pArkrun and an ideal base for touring the Northern Central Belt.

Highly recommended.

Would agree with you re Witches Craig, used to stay there when participating in the Stirling Triathlon to save on the early o'clock travel.
