6 miles for me today in the Newcastle sunshine. Have been feeling like crap this week for some reason, and missed a couple of slow runs, but over the worst with a week to go before Marathon of the North. Hopefully the extra rest will work wonders.

3:42 for me at VLM. My second fastest marathon and quite a pleasing time for what was a training run. The main focus is Comrades and so the main objective was to look after my legs. They are feeling ok at the moment so hopefully job done. ![]() I hope that all the other folks who did marathons today got on well. |

Well, I survived VLM ![]() ![]() 5.44.15 - it was too hot and I got pushed and hurt my foot somewhere about mile 14 so the docklands bit was pretty miserable. However, I now have a time that I know I can better ![]() Best of luck to the Mnachester crew next week ![]() |

am really enjoying this spring marathon experience - as spectator and as runner (despite poo time) looking forward to kent roadrunners on 1 June (is this considered a summer marathon?? - or are we still in spring?) and i take it i am doing the right thing jumping into the 11th week training schedule this week...? |

Hard to say for sure Colette: by 11 weeks the plan may be very high mileage. How are your legs after Brighton? Be careful not to overdo it now. Your endurance won't desert you and you need to build back up. I did Brighton then Hannover on 2011 with 4 wks gap and used Hal higdon's multiple marathon plan. There is one for six weeks apart for you halhigdon.com Hannover was one of the best marathons I've run because I just felt on perfect form and got my first sub-4 there. |
