Meant to ask at the time, why do runners like Steve run for "Nedbank" as their club when running Comrades? Do overseas athletes need to register with a SA club to be able to run, or is there some other sponsorship etc arrangements which makes things work better.

Nedbank has in the past been a main sponsor of Comrades, in addition to sponsoring a running club, so no doubt there will be a nice sum to be earned from running for them. Overseas runners don't need to register with a local club, though.

Welcome to the forum Snailpace22. I don't know if anyone is running it, but I've added the 2024 edition of the race to our listings: - if you're running it, you can add it to your race list.
