That was one of the hardest comrades I did - yes that wind and heat was horrendous ! Unfortunately carnt tell until the day. Not long now so keep injury free and away from colds/flu |

Stress fracture in the last couple of weeks has ended my Comrades this year. Our club has the honour of having Barry Holland as a member. He is doing his 46th consective comrades (holds the record) and their's me struggling to get to my green number !!! Safe journey to SA and enjoy your race. PS I will be taking photos from within the stadium for my club dolphin coast stiders and will be looking out for the Brits as well so don't for get to smile even if it is in pain

Thanks Garyhf and sorry about your injury. Barry Holland is a great athlete and I recall seeing him running strongly during the race last year.

Just looking thigh the splits he's run the penultimate one 3-5 minutes faster than everybody except for the leader. Podium place possible???

We probably won't know until he gets into the stadium, but seems to have faded less than the other contenders, e.g. David Gatebe in particular detonated!
