Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Youtube is good for that :)

We also had snow. I ran part-way into work for the first time in months. I also bumped into one of our parkrun core team, which was nice.

There were many good new things reported yesterday.

I half wanted to give the Newt of the Day to the Baroness for her Ambridge Fetchie meet-up - involving several new experiences not least The Baroness meeting four or five new to her Fetchies. But the event was at weekend, pre Lent - and anyway the Baroness already has a title.

I liked Trin's guitar playing ambitions - and she's taken a step further by finding online tutorials. But in the end my Newt of Day goes to Half Pint. She SAID she was going to take a new attitude to the climbing wall - and she did just that.

Nice work hp- you get to pick your favourite from today. People often post their newts the day after so with that in mind unless something scream out at you - give yourself 'til midday (or later) to make your pick.

My newt was teaching a workshop at a uni I’d never been to before, taking a route through the South Downs which was just glorious in the sunshine and witha sunset on the way home. The students were lovely and said it was very useful to them so I have a feel good glow about the whole experience now :)

My newt was having my lunch in the staffroom during school lunchtime and taking 45 minutes to sit in there, chatting with various staff as they came and went. I'm normally with groups of children at lunchtime, but I felt that I should take some time to just chat with staff today after recent events.

Today's newt is getting a stock cupboard organised. Realised that if I had to be in isolation for 2 weeks I wouldn't have anywhere near enough food. I'm not expecting to have to but it would be useful to be able to throw together several meals. Today I bought stuff I've never used before - frozen chopped onions and frozen sweetcorn. Along with dried mushrooms, capers and tinned fish I've got the basis of a pasta dish :-)

Ooh just seen that I earned Newt of the Day. Thanks sharkie.

Today I earned a new nickname - The Weapon. Our big boss also referred to me as the Pocket Rocket but my oldest friend calls me that so it’s not so new.

I’ll have to try and remember to pick a Newt in the morning before I head off on a big adventure.

I had peppers stuffed with anchovy - that was a newt. Nice but I prefer feta.

I had one biscuit earlier. Not none, not loads. This is a newt, at least for the last 20 years,I think.

I’ve started a new book. I’m trying to read more books this year. In January I read 3. So far in February...fewer.
