It made a kind of crinkly noise and if it was windy and rainy it flapped and made a crinkly noise at the same time. I never got to ride in it - in fact it lasted no more than about five seconds on my horse and it was lucky that I put it on her in a place where there were a lot of people around to help calm down a horse in a blind panic over a scary, flappy, crinkly thing...........

The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.
