Contender Rrrrready (new Gladiators wire)

He'll probably warm to everyone after he's done a few more shows and events. Without Nitro and Giant (and excluding Viper), all the male gladiators are more or less the same size. There doesn't seem to be a Cobra/Trojan equivalent who can effectively dominate the speed events, Hang Tough or The Edge. Legend and Diamond were a bit out of character this week. Viper is still easily the weakest gladiator. At least wolf won his fair share of events back in the day.

Still don't envy the new additions needing to do a little performance in the middle of the empty arena. The two winning contenders today were rapid, could they be the series champs?

I'm miles behind on this series, so haven't actually seen Hammer's intro yet, but must admit my eyes got a bit sweaty watching Cyclone's. I can't rule out being a bit hormonal at the time, but there was something very moving for me about a powerful black woman taking centre stage so confidently.

I didn't think it would work but she seems to be fitting in well. The men's event was a bit too easy. I thought the ladies' event would be more closer than it actually was.

Although her eye makeup does make her look like a scary panda. Her intro, essentially her having to do an awkward dance in an empty arena, I felt really left her exposed. Glad that she brings the power to her games - in fact all the female Gladiators are quality.
