Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I think there were a few glitches going on overnight. I had some Fmail this morning telling me about some Checkpoints. "Funny" I thought. I then checked my log and some of my training has been duplicated so throwing out some of my stats.

I have done a Feedback to Fetch and hopfully he'll be able to make my adjustments.

I don't know if this has affected anyone else and I'm wondering if it had something to do with Garmin's fixes going on yesterday.

Yep, I spotted that - a run from sometime last week appeared again in my log, giving me double miles for that day.

Like you, it was the checkpoints email that highlighted it, otherwise wouldn't have noticed.

I'm guessing that something "clever" was going on, either that or a big coincidence - when I did that run last week I mistakenly stopped and saved the run half way through. So, after it loaded to fetch I edited it to the correct distance and time. Maybe fetch checked all recent runs that didn't appear in your log and added them overnight, ie this wouldn't have appeared in mine as there was no run on that day of the distance in the GPX file. ( hope that made sense !! )

Yeah, I had a similar message, and a similar duplicate run.

I'm not sure why you can't just delete the duplicate runs yourself AP, that's what I did and my training log was back to being correct without involving Fetch.

Mine was a run on Fri 30th Oct, which was the day the site was down. I uploaded the run manually but it seems now Fetch has caught up and the run has been picked up from Garmin. Easy enough to just delete it.

thanks for the heads up - duplicated run on 25th October. Still haven't got yesterdays up though which means I lost the tomato I had specifically hunted down :-(

I think (because it's not something I've had any involvement in) that Garmin have resent any runs that they've had queued up for whatever reason. Delete the duplicates and you should be fine.

Yes, that would fit. I don't download from a GPS and my log is fine.

I thought this was going to be something about checking you don't burn hedgehogs in your woodpile, or the smell of slugs burning if brought in to your fire. Shows my running brain is absent at the moment! :-) G
