The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

September saw the launch of the Brand Clinic - an exciting initiative from our global brand and creative team that will support the business with any general brand queries, as well as helping to protect our powerful brand.
The Brand Clinic will support with:
• Clarifications around Brand Guidelines
• Sense checks on creative assets and ‘tone of voice’
• Approvals (if appropriate)
• Any further questions regarding brand
It isn’t a way to request new materials – you'll still need to go through the appropriate channels for these (usually your marketing business partner).
The clinic operates via a shared inbox, and the team look forward to hearing from you with any queries.

You can only ask about brand, in a certain tone of voice or any other questions on brand and you can ask for approvals but you can't ask about approvals. Got it.

I once fell foul of our corporate brand enforcers. They rejected my slide set for a conference because of 'spelling' mistakes.
I sent it straight back advising I had done it in English, as per brand rules.
Not American.

I didn't win that one. I don't thnk the rules were ever changed to 'US English'.
