Yeah total bummer:( Was hoping to gradually build up and do a marathon in them, not London though, just one of the shorter ones ;)

I wear my slippers round the house, which are very comfy but I wouldn't run in them, don't diss the shoes until you've tried them for running.

I took to them quite quickly. They will feel strange initially, especially if you're used to wearing more cushioned shoes.

I have three pairs, all from sports shoes, love them for speed sessions and race up to 10k. Easy to get on with no blisters and great support like been very light.

Just bought a pair from Sportshoes. Feel incredibly light compared to my lunarglides.

The Sportshoes shop in Bradford is closing down in July, according to the chap who served me :(

I assume so. I filled in a card with my details for their mailing list (and got a free pair of socks for doing so :))

I love going in there when I'm in Bradford. I must find an excuse for a trip up soon.

I had a pair of Brooks Green Silence while I transitioned from cushioned shoes to minimal shoes. I quite liked them but only ran 195km -- including my first marathon --- in them. I bought some NB Minimus MT10s shortly afterwards and have been running in Minimus shoes ever since. The Brooks were a good transition shoe but ultimately too cushioned for a mid/forefoot strike.
