I pronate quite badly and usually wear Brooks Adrenaline GTS as I have hypermobile ankles and find full correction uncomfortable. However I'm having a bit of a break from racing and am thinking about learning how to run more efficiently. I don't want to wear 'monkey feet' shoes and am going to build up gradually, but wondered what peoples experience of the Brooks Green Silence was.

Plus they look cool

oh, damn you, they look very cool! I race in Brooks, um, racers I think, and love them, but after 4 years they are falling apart so I need a new racing shoe and maybe these are they? Would need to try them on first though, are they barefoot lightweight or just racing flat lightweight?

I don't think I could wear hobbit shoes either.

On my 3rd pair of Silence and rate them highly. I've used them for all distances inc the marathon. In all honesty what works for someone may not work for someone else but a good shoe to start with if looking for a lighter shoe as not full on minimal. Also check out the Brooks Pure range as they are proving very popular. I'm currently doing all my training in the Pure Connect.

Love my union lack colourway Green Silence
