Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Has anyone tried these yet?

thinking I need some Levitation. I used to run in Brooks Launch but switched to Nike Vomero which are ok but increasingly expensive.

They sounds good! Don’t know anything about them unfortunately. I am a big fan of Brooks Pureflows though. Haven’t seen them on any of the usual discount website recently so in the past year or so, I have bought them directly from the Brooks website. £90 per pair.

Sigh
I've been through 2 pairs of Levitate 2, switched to a pair of Ricochet, and I'm now breaking in my third pair of Levitate 2. Overall I think they're a good shoe.

I was recommended the Levitate at a (very good) gait analysis last summer, since the switch from 'stability' to 'neutral/cushioned' trainers and keeping with ones with an 8mm heel drop (rather than 10mm or 12mm) I've had no ankle or knee niggles at all.

However - because I've always been a bit of a heel striker, I found that with both pairs of Levitate I've worn out this year, the sole was worn through on the heel after only 300 miles:

By contrast, the Brooks Ricochet (in which I've done just over 200 so far) are showing no signs of wear at all yet.

The Ricochet have a bit less cushioning than the Levitate, but I don't really notice it unless I'm on long runs (10+ miles).

On the basis that I now don't expect to get more than 300 miles out of the Levitate's then I'm happy to buy them at a reduced price from an online retailer but I wouldn't pay full price for them. This is of course because of my heel striking, so that's a personal thing.

Hope this helps!
