I don't carb load to extreme, I just make sure I have a few more the day before the race. Greek yoghurt, fruit salad and muesli for breakfast, baked potato and soup for lunch, pasta dinner - and of course, my traditional one or two beers.

I love a beer the night before...I also do a bit of chocolate. That and shaving my nuts, it's the little things that make all the difference hey!

(I may have been joking about the last bit)

Only if it's part of your normal training schedule, which I doubt, so you should be good! This day needs to hurry up and finish so I can go for a 5 mile jog!

My taper is now even greater as I have man flu. Managed 2 miles before I had to give in , not good

Pre-Race for the regulations Fetch Photo, please assemble outside the massive white tent in the middle of Preston Park.

As you look up the park (it's a slope) we shall be congregating on the right hand side of said massive white tent... the information and lost sprogs tent, it is close to the Pavillion...very close.

Post race, we are heading to the Hop Pole pub.
