I'm having the taper of my life. I've now had a cold for ten days. However, to add to that, last night I woke myself up because I'd stretched my right leg out in my sleep only to have the most goddawful pain in the calf! Could still feel it this morning. Seems OK now.

I can't be the only person ever to injure themselves in their sleep a week before a marathon, though, right?

Weather report:
BBC: Cloudy, 8-14 degrees, 15mph southerly wind.
Metcheck: Fair, 15 degrees, 10-17mph southerly.

Seems to be improving (a little) wind-wise, but the temperature's creeping up a little too high for my liking!

I just found a weather report that had it as 18 degrees on Sunday. Somewhat OTT I think.

Johnny, I've only had one jaffa cake so far. I will not have another. Honest. Really, I won't.

Re: carb loading - anyone doing the depletion stage, or are you all just planning on stuffing your faces?! Any high-carb foods that are your favourites? My "must have's" are lots of toast with (marmite or peanut butter), dried fruit, pasta (obv) and a greek rice dish called pilafi. I also love curries, but not the day before the race.

No benefit to depletion, and none to stuffing either. Just cut protein and increase carb for two days before is what I am told.

Pre-Race for the regulations Fetch Photo, please assemble outside the massive white tent in the middle of Preston Park.

As you look up the park (it's a slope) we shall be congregating on the right hand side of said massive white tent... the information and lost sprogs tent, it is close to the Pavillion...very close.

Post race, we are heading to the Hop Pole pub.
