I suspect there may be an option to do that as registration is the day before as well as from (I think) 6am on the day but hopefully it's not compulsory. As I am at a family event the day before then driving to where we will be staying (which is a two hour drive from home) I think it's unlikely that I'll make the registration cut off on the Saturday. And if I do have to rack my bike the day before and before say 5pm I won't be taking part as the family event is non-negotiable.
