Perfect Bowman, that’s what I thought but wanted to check first as I’m not good at this type of thing πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

I was afraid you would think i meant it in a degrading way, but i wasn't, and i thought it might be what you really asked for :)

Good luck with your intervals!

Also, it's usually one lap on an official run track too, which makes it a little more fun to run them. But you probably know that :)

Haha I didn’t think that at all. I was trying them this morning for the first time in years so just chose somewhere close to home. Think I did okay but I only managed x5 reps time wise but will go earlier next week.

Garmin thread probably the best place to add this question but if you want 400m reps, you add 400m (or 0.4km reps). The Garmin will do the conversion to miles for display purposes.

May start to do these more regularly over the next few weeks. I did the 6 x 1000 today without walk breaks. Enjoyed it but it definitely makes sense to have the walk breaks in for most sessions as it really keeps things under control both for recovery and in the rep. I wanted to make the session more impactful today and that was the way I decided to do it rather than via 2000s.

Might do 8 x 1000 non stop as part of a long run at some point. Did 5 x 2000 last weekend as part my long run but with the normal walk breaks.

Might also try a 400 session non stop at some point. Have only done one shorter interval session this year EI style but have done a couple Pirie style but on road rather than track as normal.

Feel like high end work is what I need currently so have also started doing alternations.

The book is on its way to me. I'm curious, in a novelty-seeking sort of way. I'll read the whole thread so that I don't end up posting inane things that have already been discussed at length.

Vrap - There's a new version so make sure that's what you get (180 pages Vs 156 pages).
