I'm still struggling with this cold. Its 3 and a half weeks in now and impacted on 3 of my races I had planned so far this summer.

Hoping the fact that I've managed to keep the miles up means that when I'm better and I can get back up to speed quite quickly.

Roberto - Are you sure you're not prolonging things by keeping mileage up and racing? Fees days easy/ off would probably be enough to sort it.

Are you saying the official time was wrong?

Good work on both.

Not sure if I'll do a 200 again anytime soon, but my PB from 2013 is 28.42, lol.

Rubbish 5K this evening, 18:02. Felt crap all way round, and breeze didn't help. Could probably have run 17:45-17:50 but wasn't feeling it and couldn't motivate myself. You get races like this - not beating myself up.

Today I discovered I'm not in 4:22 1500m shape and blew the chance of a PB on a night with good conditions in the process. You don't know till you try but I was probably too aggressive in sticking to the pre-race plan from 400 to 1000 and paid the price in the last 500.

Might be the last race or I might get one more in.

Got something to say?
