About Me
I started running in January 2007 to lose weight I was tipping the scales at a whopping 20 stone and 2lb’s. I lost a stone quite quickly and a friend suggested that I enter a race. My first race was a 10k trail at Sevenoaks in March 2007 which I completed in 60 minutes and 59 seconds. The time was not really important but finishing was and more importantly I was hooked on running and racing.

The weight started to fall off and I was starting to feel more confident so much so that I joined the Billericay Striders in August 2007. Joining a running club moved me on to the next level and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of doing it. The Billericay Striders are a really friendly club who made me feel very welcome.

As I write this in May 2008 I am now running about 20 – 30 miles a week and my weight is 14 stone 10lb nearly five and half stone lighter than before I started running. Running has completely changed my life I am fitter healthier and happier with a real positive attitude to life. My goals for the future are to train as hard as I can to become the fastest that I can be and to run the London marathon.
