Ultra Kanga Kazzaaaaah!! Ultra Kanga Kazzaaaaah!! Marginally disappointed on the one hand, happy on the other. After the injuries, lack of speed training if you'd asked me before the race I'd have said I'd be happy with sub-52 but to get to half-way comfortably in 25 mins I was beginning to think that maybe I'd get closer to a pb. Became obvious fairly soon after half-way that wasn't going to happen. Maybe if the weather had been cool like last week it would have been closer but I'm happy to have gone under my target time in conditions that I really don't favour running in. Vindicator Vindicator UNOFFICIAL TIME: Very Dissapointed apologies to betters, but I lost 100 credits myself. Set off OK just above target, but at 3K I noticed my HR was high and I was feeling hot. Come the 5K point when some of the long drag hills came in, I was feeling pretty dead. Townie went past me at 6K as did a running club rival. Was not in the mood for my usual wind it up 1K out, but had to fend off another club rival to the line. The distictive light blue of our club vests certainly helps quick identification over your shoulder. Many things conspired against getting my PB. With hindsight I probably had no chance, but would have hoped to come in in 43/4mins. The course was much more undulating than I remember last year and it was far too hot for me as my HR for the race testifies. Met kazzaaaaah! afterwards too. 40:21 42:19 42:00 45:12 58.60
