About Me

Started running Jan 2010 to lose some weight & get fit, got bitten by the bug & 3 stone later, still running.
I've had a go at a couple of races & have been pretty pleased with my times.
Next stop, half marathon in January 2011, what a way to mark 1 year of running. After that I want to focus on getting faster. Sub-20 5k & sub-40 10k are my (distant) goals.

July 2011 update: Did the half marathon, enjoyed it but decided to concentrate on shorter distances. Got 40:22 for Bradford 10k in March, targeted a sub-70 10 mile in June (67:31) and got oh so close with my 5k in July (20:08), picking up a few prizes on the way. Then, disaster, managed to break my foot while running a 10k!! Still managed 1st FV35 & team prize though ;-). Got a cast on for 5 weeks then at least 4 weeks after that before I can run again.

I will mend, I will come back stronger, I won't spend the next 9 weeks eating cake & feeling sorry for myself, honest.

Current Status

Seem to be enjoying the trails, even starting to venture onto the fells :-)
