caw Absolute rubbish run. Got a 'pink' number which meant I was caught up with loads of slow runners and walkers near the back - despite saying I would be doing a sub 50 minute time on my entry. Really frustrated with all the joggers and walkers who were in front of me particularly those who were walking 6 or 7 wide across the road so you had to push past!

Karen S Haven't done a 10k since Feb 2010. Hopefully fitness has improved during training for half marathon. I have a goal to get down to 56 minutes for a 10k by the end of 2010 so will be happy with 58 minutes halfway through the year. UPDATE: Managed a PB but only just so a bit disappointed really. First half very slow, coming to a walk at points bottlenecked behind people so couldn't settle into a good pace, a bit like interval training slowing down and then speeding up when I got some space. Tried to make it up in the second half but then legs went to jelly at 10k and shame on me stopped and walked to drink some lucozade to recover. Managed a sprint over the finish but not happy didn't achieve my 58minutes target :-( Wakefield Triathlon Club 55:12 55:12 58:00 59:17 52.68

Lapsed Athlete Oops I seem to have accidently deleted this so have added it again.

Sorry folks but a lack of sleep seemed to leave me a little short of energy and the crush certainly didn't help me overtake the walkers very easily but that said I did enjoy the atmosphere and don't mind running one of my slowest 10k's in years.

When all is said and done this was started by, and remains in honour of, a great lady ... RIP Jane your memory is forever with us. Unaffiliated 55:35 55:35 1:08:46 43.32

runshezzarun Found this race hard as i did not put in the training. It was very crowded, hot and i found the last mile very hard. Felt sick afterwards and was disappointed with my time. Eccleshill Road Runners 47:14 47:14 55:31 54.65

Slider45 In terms of time, I was a good 2 mins slower than my best. I find it a nagging course and not really pb potential. However, it's fun to be involved and there was great support throughout. Valley Striders AC 34:17 34:17 36:27 73.98
