Oscar's Everyone Day

In 2021 Oscar the Grouch proposed one day each year where "we unite as a community and EVERYONE records an activity of some sort - a dog walk, a run, a swim, a ride, ski if you want...".

Sadly we lost Oscar in March 2024, so now we dedicate Everyone Day to him. Thank you for the inspiration you gave us Oscar.

About this parkrun

Tarmac laps course - quite hilly (undulating!). Parking can be tricky - allow plenty of time.

lovely old City centre park , starts with a small lap of the upper level followed by 2 larger laps of the lake in the lower part of the park & upper level combined

Lovely run, but definitely on the hilly side! Quite a bit on gravelly path, but lovely park. We parked easily on a side street on new years day.

2 1/2 laps on good paths around a park with bandstand, canal and lake (and other things!). Surprisingly hilly.... Toilets available in the park and paid for parking (although the machines were not working)

Tarmac path; 2½ laps of a Victorian park which has been nicely refurbished; Undulating (49m elevation gain). Parking charges now in force. Can now pay by card, or app (PayByPhone)
