Slider45 Sunny day but very windy in places - lovely to run up a hill into the wind...The course was certainly hilly; if it wasn't going up it was going down. Funnily enough, I found the downhills quite tough, especially coming off the back of an uphill.
Pleased with my time as this is my first 10 mile race and I was looking to pace around 6:45 per mile.
There was a large turnout, it was really well supported and it was a well run event thoughout. NB - spotted someone in a Fetch Everyone vest! Valley Striders AC 56:54 1:06:30 1:08:00 1:06:30 65.79

shorty25 Well I felt better then I did last week, so thats a start!! I'm going to take two weeks off from running to give my legs a break - maybe that will be the answer to my poor form, will just do cv work at the gym & Swim/Cycle.

Will see how things go in two weeks time. York Knavesmire Harriers 1:16:41 1:16:41 1:27:35 55.95

Cat the Dog Lover oo-er. a bit hilly this one. Official time 1:44:27, even though it said 2:43:17 as I crossed the line! Walked up the 3 steep hills. Ate my energy gel too early (just after 5 miles) so ran out of steam somewhat for the finishing hill to the castle. Still a better time than expected though. Stepford Wife Hmmmm, not really fit enough - long runs haven't been so a nice bimble round.
Well, that was a huge surprise - managed to run (albeit very very slowly in places) all the way round. Furthest I've run non-stop since, well, that's a tough one. Can't remember. The wind made it interesting but I am well pleased about the hills! Fell Runners Association 1:50:06 1:50:06 2:00:00 1:50:06 44.87
