RunningBob I really want to like this race as Manchester deserves a good big race (as opposed to the expensive walk that is the GMR). But they really need to sort out the course - wasted lots of time weaving between crowds of slower runners that I was lapping - difficult to focus when you can no longer see your targets ahead. But great finish on the track, well marshalled and definitely worth a go. Finished 13th. 1st V40 but the V45 and leading lady sprinted away from me. Wilmslow RC 33:01 33:56 34:00 34:46 81.34

Geococcyx I broke my 7 year PB, but still didn't have a great race! I now know why eating a big curry the night before a race is not a good idea. I felt dehydrated and queezy throughout the race and the lack of training in June due to my ankle injury also had an affect on my time.
