5 miles, a huge set of drills plus sprints in a snowy/slightly icy field, 3 layers, leggings, -1 + wind chill.

My marathon training plan called for 15miles today. Given it was -5C that seemed optimistic.
Nevertheless 11miles bagged! 4 layers on top, tights and joggers below, buff, hat, gloves and walking socks over the gloves.

I managed a 3 miles snowy run this morning.
Luckily, I've got a long stretch of disused railway line I can use. So it a soft surface, topped with snow. So soft and a bit powdery, but fine to run on.
Was lovely. I might be down in the tropics of Sussex, but I have memories of clambering over snow drifts on this run. Good fun.
Plus, my off roaders came back cleaner than they went out

We've insufficient snow to Yaktrax, but enough to play in my X-Talons
It's not often that I run in a warmer bit of clothing ~ today saw shights, long sleeve, wind top, Buff, skull cap and Fetch cap. I felt warm enough, but when changing post run I'd got the standard reddy coloured cold bits .

Track tonight, clear then as we warmed up half an hour of snow, a bit slippy, all went well, 4*1 mile, plus warm up and warm down, 8 miles in all.
No Leggins.

It would seem that (Not at all Our Lord) Fetch delivered a small van load overnight ... though it looks like he forgot to flavour most of it ... there are some areas which look like Lemon Slushie ... but as I'm struggling to bend and crouch, I cannot confirm this

Got new spikes two days ago - little brothers to my Kahtoola Micro Spikes - Kahtoola Nano Spikes. Better for patchy paths with ice and packed snow than the Micros (which are for deeper snow and ice). Ace - total confidence on paths.
Stay safe peeps. G
