Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Why do people do it? I met a friend for a drink recently and she looked like a cat.

I'd read she had had 'work' done, but it just looks daft, I suppose people don't see what they look like, they see what they want to see.

Actually am quite annoyed at the TV coverage of the Olympics. Especially the @'t was a privilege to be here' stuff about Peaty. Indeed it bloddy well was.

I think EVERYONE from BBC sports is out there.

It is no doubt the corporate junket of the decade for the Beeb. Their ability to waste is exceptional, for football on radio they STILL use 2 commentators, plus a summariser. So you get a handover after 23 odd minutes of each half. Irritating, wasteful and unnecessary.

More irritating than BT Sports with Robbie Savage, Rio Ferdinand and Micheal Owen as pitch side experts?

Fair point Nicholls!

TRO. Actually radio commentary is very tiring so I'm told, which is why they split it up between two of them

Nice! Pitchside coverage. The wallies got a soaking before the Fulham Newcastle game. What does it add that being in a studio can't achieve?

I don't mind the commentators being there, as they shoud be relaying how it feels to be there. I really don't think a studio is needed out there, and I don't think we need summarisers pool/pitch/track/lakeside.....maybe the odd interview, yes, maybe.

What has happen to Clare Balding?

A couple of years ago I would have said she was the best at being engaged in apsort, racing, Rugby League, Swimming. I watched last night and she said "Chappers and myself" oh dear. I don't watch any sport for the commentators.

TMS excepted, and then I'm listening.
