Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Think he needs some extra tasks to keep him busy and off your back. This guy isn't your line manager?

Musak in my local Morrison's. I do not believe anyone EVER chose to shop in a particular supermarket because they play crap music over their PA system ... in fact I think the opposite is a lot more likely to be true.

How this country goes crazy for football. It's not a very exciting sport and we're not particularly good at it, yet I'm expected to let my team watch telly for two hours in the middle of the day because 'the football's on'. I don't get to put my feet up for three days for every test match played over the summer, and that's a far more entertaining sport - with ebbs and flows, challenge and intelligent strategy. Same with cycling - skill, determination, lycra, dedication and crazy mountains. And we're pretty decent at both cricket and cycling.

It could add another dimension. Or perhaps not!

Wobbling - agree. This really annoyed me - the bloody schools cancelling lessons so kids can watch TV (football) but parents get fined for taking them out of school.

Why *is* football treated so differently in England? It's odd and completely unnecessary in the day and age of simple recording and catch-up TV.
