Reading back, I used to be a BMW driver. I think I was a better diver then than I am now.

Lidl checkouts. Yes, it's fine having a lovely long belt to unload the basket/trolley onto but there's only six square inches of space after the cashier for them to put everything, never mind anywhere for me to actually pack my bags in.

Switts - it's usually while I'm preparing food and often when I'm taking hot dishes out of oven or straining veg. My edibles are all in the cupboards or fridge.

Duchess - I used to complain about this to housemate - who told me that the trick is to put things back in your trolley as they get scanned, then pack your bags after paying etc on the ledge at the back of the stall.
I still think this is stupid so simply refuse to go to Lidl & Aldi...

I don't go to Lidl and Aldi for the same reason. They're not cheaper *enough* for me to be prepared to put up with having my purchases thrown back into my trolley for me to take away and pack elsewhere instead of being asked if I need any bags or some help with packing
And I've never bought anything there that I haven't been disappointed with.

Fragile Do Not Bend
I only go to Lidl for the occasional non-edible thing. They were good for some cheap running gear when I first started running - I was a size 20 back then, and was therefore deemed not to be a suitable person to wear most running clothes brands.
