Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

What on earth is a manager doing emptying bins and hoovering? How is that an efficient use of his salary?

If you don't have any cleaning services, then suggest he proposes a rota, so everything gets shared out.

Duchess - small office - we have cleaners who do the communal areas as we share the floor with other companies but they don't clean in our office. I agree - a rota would probably be the best option - although we have refused to use the hoover until a replacement bought due to existing one giving us electric shocks!

When one enters a largeish branch of WH Smith, and ask if they have a copy of Trail Running Magazine, to get the response "so, what's that magazine about then?"

All I could think of to reply though, was "er, it's about, um, running, on, you know, trails, as opposed to roads?" "Oh..", the young urchin required, "you mean like trials motorbiking?" "No, like TRAILs, running on them".

caroline Quentin - is there anything that woman won't get her face on? She's a frigging builder now ! I'd rather watch cockney's eating jellied eels.

Airline passengers who take huge suitcases onto the plane as "Hand baggage" and cram them into the overhead lockers thus leaving the rest, who check their bungalow sized baggage into the hold nowhere to put our coats, and small backpacks.

It may be a coincidence that many of these people seem to be of the Japanese persuasion....
