Ooh, now that is inexcusable. Surely the only rational response is to pepper your emails with lots of lolzvilles and plzes till said boss gets the message

Someone ripped one of our windscreen wipers off yesterday when it was parked outside MiL's house - why? Will now cost us a few quid as it's the whole thing not just the blade ..

You know when a joiner says he'll be here at 9am to fix the handful of little things that will take all morning and you wait in despite having to walk the dogs before going to work only for him to not turn up?
That. Tardiness is probably my biggest pet hate.

Having a real thing about the general rudeness of people at the moment.
Yesterday was a classic example. Out on a run in the p&ssing rain when noticed a car pull over and the driver wind his window down obviously wanting directions. Stopped my run, switched IPod off and went over to help.
But he barked out his question with such rudeness, like an order or demand that frankly I couldn't be bothered to answer (even though I knkw exactly where he wanted to go). Just shrugged and continued my run. I just regret not actually saying before I did continue that I would have told him had he been able to ask in a civil manner.

Good for you. If people can't be civil, they don't deserve an answer.

My boss just sent a pathetic message saying I am being divisive in the office because I wash my own mug and not his or other peoples. He leaves about 10 mugs to accumulate e- all disgusting with the tea bags left in them. I use and wash my own. Well, he can piss right off if he thinks I'm doing his washing up too. I am furious to say the least.

Stand your ground, Jovi. I would point out what you've said above to the boss and say that you will act more collaboratively as long as everyone else does - you can't take collective action by yourself and you do not occupy the role of domestic drudge in the office

He does empty the office bins - but he has OCD type tendencies and tends to empty them even when they only have a few bits in and don't need emptying. He also sometimes does a bit of hpooovering but the hoover gies off an electric shops and me and another girl have therefore refused to use it until we get a replacement as it is dangerous in our opinion. I don't mind pulling my weight but I think if everyone washed their own mugs that would actually be more conducive to team harmony as no one doing anyone else's dirty work. It annoys me beyond belief that he is so uber critical of everything and frowns on casual conversation and then berates us for not having a friendly team spirit. Oh dear - I think I need to pop out for a walk to calm down…and breath….
