Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

TRO - I concur with that, I've done several fell races using the vest/gloves combo. I also usually wrap a buff around my wrist so I can stick the thing on my head if it starts getting really nippy, obv. you lose an enormous amount of bodyheat from your head.

OB - a group of us are running the Yorkshire Three Peaks this weekend, I suspect that long sleeves will be muchly visible ... you are welcome to come along and test your theory :-)

The fecking Daily Mail. I really should know they'd stoop to this level, but they continue to demonstrate their complete unfitness to publish anything. It still amazes me that anyone buys it.

Some interesting points on the Winter racing apparel debate.....I'm very much a devotee of Glover and Glover , who , appropriately enough , advocate the vest and gloves approach...Maybe I'm just getting old....But I still think vest and gloves is a bad look ...!

I wear LS in the winter but invariably end up pulling them up past my elbows after a few miles while keeping my gloves on. t-shirt/glove combination makes sense to me if only I could stop being such a wuss about the cold for the first couple of miles.

Anyway, back on topic...

Deputy First Minister of Scotland, an SNP worthy. Should really be called "Second Minister", to my mind.

She's actually pretty good value on things like QT, a bit less slippery than Salmon(d).

Salmod, yes, basically this is apolitical move (devolution), obviously so, and economically it won't go well, but he won't/can't say so and is already trying to buy the vote, still polititcians.
