TRO Saracen
Getting bothered all the time by these accident compensation claim companies. F88k knows how but I had a minor dint about 3-4 months back - basically I was sat in my car parked at the swimming pool and a lady driver misjudged her entry into the next space and scraped my car.
Admitted her fault, no one hurt, minor damage so no one really inconvenienced. I'm not out of pocket, my car was touched up, everything sorted without hassle. End of story. At least I thought.....
In fact the only inconvenience out of the whole episode is that this has obviously found its way onto some database somewhere, and I am getting hounded to go for compensation. Today;s was typical. Got the phone call - punted the bloke off and then another call comes through, his supervisor, for another go. Unscreend calls so you can;t avoid them.
Tried to reason with this guy to try and get me name removed from whatever list I'm on causing all the bother and ended up in an argument about whether I was injured or not! WTF! All this stuff about there's £3,000 specifically set aside for you blah blah.
It's a pain in the arse, but worse I dread to think how much we're all paying for these bogus claims as they all end up on our premiums.
Tony f**king Blair's fault.

Winded
A similar thing happened with S levels - they went from a bit beyond A level to a bit less.
It's the same old story; why make something better in a boring worthwhile way when you can give it a lick of paint and a marketing spin for less effort.

TRO - I had the same thing a couple of years ago, except, we hadn't had an accident. No idea how these ambulance chasers got our details, but I had a summer of the buggers phoning at least twice a week, sometimes several times a day. It often descended into someone calling into question my husband's honesty; "if you haven't had an accident, are you sure it wasn't your husband".
"Yes, I'm sure"
"Are you sure? He might have not told you."
"Fuck off"

I have no wish to defend Blair but solicitiors have been allowed to advertise since Thatcher's era and more's the pity.
The hearing loss ones are easy, just say "eh?.." (repeatedly)

Yes, blaming Tony Blair for that does seem odd. Especially when there's so much else you could blame him for.

As we are on the subject of TB, apparently that fwit has advised 20 governments on various issues since departing plus all the cash he trousered from JP Morgan. What the fark are they after?

I always ask for the date of the alleged accident, and they never know.

Good tactic, Chris. "When was the accident? I think I have suffered a bit of memory loss"
