Places like Ascot are often populated by loathsome toffs though, toff-watching is about the only entertaining aspect of these things Polo was worse though, £20 for a glass of wine and dull as ditchwater. Awful.

runner duck Jun 2013 5:16pm, 19 Jun 2013 10,927 posts	Quote Pin runner duck toffs are pretty thin on the ground at ascot nowadays, except in the royal enclosure. the first time I went we were in some sort of member's enclosure or something where we could wander round lots. last time wasn't so good as we were in a stand with a marquee area outside. once went to an evening meet at newbury racecourse. must admit I enjoyed that more. even tho I know nothing about horse-racing!

There is idfferent breed going these days, all fake tan and fighting over boyfirends etc.
