macca 53 Dec 2023 10:03pm, 5 Dec 2023 31,973 posts	Quote 1 pin macca 53 The energy efficient light bulbs seem to give a lot less light than their less energy efficient equivalent (I've got an uplighter ceiling light which uses G9 bulbs) If you replace an (“old”) GU10 halogen bulb, with a GU10 LED bulb you will probably have to replace the fitting because the LED bulbs need a transformer to give their “normal” rated light. No expert but I found out earlier this year when a bathroom halogen bulb failed….

I’m forever drawn to craft fairs/fayres, and am always surprised as to how disappointed I feel when I get there. I don’t know what wonders I’m expecting to be on offer but I pre yet to find them. (I’ve just returned from a local Christmas craft fair and have seen almost exactly the same stuff that I see in any ordinary craft fair except they offer mulled wine!)
