Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

The strava comeback emails really wind me up. I tweeted that they were rather tone deaf but unsurprisingly no response

Hedges that are not cut back to the boundary wall/ fence and thus reducing the width of the pavement even though they are trimmed! Also overhanged lampposts, road name signs etc.

...combined with the cars that still use the pavement to park on!

Thoughtless idiots parking on, or otherwise obstructing, drop kerbs - effectively blocking the path of people in mobility scooters.

And the lack of consistent drop kerbs, meaning I have to scout routes out for my housemate in case he ever fancies getting out of the flat without risking getting into difficulties.

Sigh
The openreach driver who parked at the side of the road, left the van passenger door open so he could talk to his mate while he smoked on the pavement, which meant I had to run in the road around his van (with my back to the oncoming traffic) to avoid the cloud of smoke which I didn't want to inhale.

When Tesco (or any supermarket) move the aisles around so nothing is in the same place. Makes shopping really annoying.

Salty Dog. When I get shouted at for why are you running in the road, my answer is “ when cars stop parking on pavements, I’ll stop running on the road”
