What really grinds your gears?

But what grinds my gears is that the novel (the two-volume Penguin Classics edition) was my big secret love when I was a teenager, and now everyone thinks they KNOW the story from listening to the CD of the musical and seeing photos of Anne Hathaway (wasn't she married to someone famous a few centuries ago?) looking skinny, without ploughing through all that stuff about the early life of the Bishop and the construction of the Paris sewers.

FFS why can't you indicate as you approach, even if the light is red. That lets cyclists and pedestrians and other road users approaching the intersection behind you know what you're doing in advance... the whole fucking point of indicators.

It won't self destruct, and neither will you. Indeed leaving it there is a win-win: you'll be able to finish the same workout in about half the time, and THEN afterwards they'll be 45 mins of unanswered messages to check! Go on, give it a try....

Back to the last * job that I totally hated then. As a knock-on effect I got to swear at someone performing another gear grinding action (queing in traffic stradling the pedestrian crossing), I felt a bit better afterwards.
