Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

For some reason, the name this local business has chosen for itself gets on my nerves.

[The postcode is local to me so there's probably farmyard mud in the mix. Seriously, I have no doubt it's nice granola, I applaud farmers for diversifying, I'd probably buy from them if we ate granola, which we don't, since it's a relatively low-cost luxury, but I want to throttle them with my bare hands for "mues".]

Kids riding scooters in a carpark at low speeds but the machines have been 'tuned' to make big motorbike noises that can be heard half a mile away.

Neighbours lighting the barbecue after they have seen us hang the washing out. Not for the first time either. OK, I wouldn't deprive them but a simple "I hope you don't mind" would be nice before the whole lot is hung out...

...and they're the ones who broke the self-isolating rules last week with having extended family around.

Belatedly, my daughter keeping us awake until 4.15 am last night. Thankfully, after a couple of Nurofen, I was able to do a full day's work having thought I would not even make it to lunchtime.

the phrase "we're re-doubling our efforts..."

So you put in some effort, you then doubled that effort and then you doubled that effort again to make four times the initial effort? If you were capable of putting in that much effort, why didn't you do it in the first place?
